CARTC (the Centre for Addiction Research Therapy and Counselling) is a centre for drug and addiction therapy — built so that asking for help takes minutes, and the space you land in is calm, private, and free of judgement.
Why we exist
CARTC exists because getting help for drug and addiction problems is already hard enough. We bring counselling, community, and credible reading into one calm place — so the first step takes minutes instead of phone calls, waiting rooms, and paperwork.
Who we help
People who use drugs or alcohol and want to change. People in recovery who want support that lasts. Families and friends who don't know what to do next. You don't need a diagnosis, a referral, or a 'rock bottom' to belong here.
Our approach to care
Our programmes draw on approaches with real evidence behind them — cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, group therapy, and structured peer support. Care is led by trained counsellors, always voluntary, and always at your pace.
Safety, privacy, and dignity
Everything here is private: moderated communities with clear rules, sessions that are confidential by default, and booking that asks only for what it truly needs. We treat every person with the same respect — no judgement, no labels.
What you can do here
Read at your own speed. Join a live session when you feel ready. Keep a recovery reading list. Book clinic appointments when the time is right — all in one place, all in your own time.
